- What I saw was Kiki sitting on the stand doing a demo. A camera was
- pointing at her. Above her shoulder on a monitor was what looked like
- a 3D ray traced scene of a polished wooden table with a television
- at one end of it. The screen of the televison was canted off at an
- angle. Her live image was mapped to it. The image of her on the
- tilted screen was reflecting off the polished wooden rendered
- table top in real time. It was also reflecting off and thru a glass
- object on the table warping it. Behind the glass object was a chair with
- a webbed back. Behind that was a light source. The light shined
- through the webbing of the chair and cast shadows on her image
- on the tv screen at the end of the table.
-
- Standing there some 15 feet from the monitor up over her shoulder
- I probably even missed some areas of the scene into which her live
- image was being keyed where other reflections, warps and refractions
- were happening. It was pretty amazing stuff.

- I saw that, too. I also saw some amazing moving animation effects.
-
- I also saw NewTek demo the Toaster for years before they shipped. Given
- where Play is now, I'm impressed. They have to ship, of course, and I
- think they will - and we're really just seeing the tip of the iceberg.
